Job summary

TE Connectivity Energy Division seeks a High Voltage Technician in Fuquay Varina, NC to perform electrical testing on HV components (46kV+). You will work in a lab, handling HV cables, accessories, and test equipment to verify PD, HiPot, and impulse performance.

Minimum 5 years HV cable prep and testing experience is required; a two-year tech diploma is preferred. On-site role with safety-first practices and data documentation.

Qualifications

• Plan and perform electrical qualification tests on high voltage cables and cable accessories according to industry standards.
• Requires a High School diploma or local equivalent and at least 5 years of related experience.
• Two year Technical college Diploma preferred.
• Journeymen's Papers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform electrical qualification tests on high voltage cables and accessories.
• Document test data and assist in preparation of test reports.
• Operate HV test equipment and troubleshoot as needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and wear PPE throughout testing.
• Coordinate tests and manage multiple test programs to meet schedule.
