Job summary

Nexans is seeking a Test Engineer for the Charleston plant to lead high voltage testing of cable products. You will oversee testing during production, prepare test plans and detailed reports, and collaborate with customers and internal teams to meet specifications.

Your role requires hands-on operation of HV testing equipment, ensuring standards compliance and contributing to continuous improvement in testing methods.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in electrical testing in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental best practices.
• Strong understanding of relevant standards for high voltage cables.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise high voltage testing for cables produced in Charleston plant.
• Prepare detailed test plans and reports for orders and development.
• Ensure all cables are tested during production and before delivery.
• Operate high voltage testing equipment and calibrate instruments.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams for test requirements.
• Maintain testing procedures and document control.
• Support continuous improvement in testing methods.
