Qualifications

• Bachelor's or foreign degree in energy/electrical/power engineering or related field with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience configuring/testing distance protection and 61850 protocol; knowledge of RTAC/RTU configurations.
• Experience with protection schemes, network design tools, Goose/DNP3/ModBus, and cyber security.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of medium/high voltage P&C systems and schemes.
• Lead HV substation protection and control testing projects of varying complexity.
• Coordinate with alliances, vendors and teams on SCADA/controls engineering.
• Review engineering design documents and understand system architecture drawings.
• Establish safety tagging, lockout, and work permit program compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced field engineers and customers.
• Visit multiple jobsites to verify installation and operation, and develop corrective actions.
