Job summary

Prysmian Group North America is seeking a High Voltage Test Engineer to join the High Voltage Cable Testing Team. You will support commissioning, maintenance, and diagnostic testing of MV, HV, and EHV underground cable systems across North America, using Prysmian resonant AC systems and PD diagnostics.

You will collaborate with customers, project managers, installation teams, and engineers to ensure safe, high-quality testing services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline from an accredited four-year university.
• Strong knowledge of MV, HV, and EHV underground cable systems and power system fundamentals.
• Experience with commissioning, acceptance, maintenance, and diagnostic testing of underground cable systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, maintenance, and diagnostic testing of MV, HV, and EHV underground cable systems.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain resonant AC test systems, PD measurement equipment, and other HV testing tools.
• Develop project-specific test plans, JHAs, and safety documentation.
• Coordinate schedules, equipment logistics, and field resources for safe project execution.
• Mobilize and operate high-voltage testing equipment at customer sites.
• Lead field technicians and ensure safety and standards compliance.
• Analyze test data, interpret results, and provide technical recommendations to customers.
