Job summary

Fresno City College invites applications for a Part-Time Human Services Instructor in the pool of qualified adjunct faculty. The instructor will provide Human Services instruction across a variety of formats and times, serving a racially and socioeconomically diverse student population.

Responsibilities include upholding professional standards, using multiple teaching methods and technology for face-to-face, online, and hybrid courses; communicating with students; evaluating progress; and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of directly related experience, OR an associate degree with six years of related experience.
California Community College Credential valid in CA, OR equivalent education/experience as allowed.
Experience with computer-assisted instruction and instructional technologies.
Commitment to serving a diverse student population and equity in education.

Responsibilities

Maintain professional conduct and ethics in teaching human services.
Deliver instruction across face‑to‑face, online, and hybrid formats using diverse pedagogies.
Communicate effectively with students and provide timely feedback.
Develop and adhere to course outlines and syllabi.
Evaluate student progress with tests, assignments, and exams; maintain records.
