Qualifications

• Master’s in health science, health education, biology, nursing, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, dietetics, nutrition or public health; or Bachelor’s in any of the above and Master’s in any biological science; or a valid California Community College Credential; or equivalence.
• Degrees posted on transcripts must match exactly as stated or petition for equivalency.

Responsibilities

• Teaching a part-time schedule of Health courses as assigned.
• Using a variety of pedagogies and delivery systems including face-to-face, online, and/or hybrid formats.
• Communicating effectively with students, faculty and staff.
• Evaluating student progress and providing course syllabi and timely grading.
• Maintaining classroom records in accordance with District policy.

Education

Master’s in health science, health education, biology, nursing, physical education, kinesiology, exercise science, dietetics, nutrition or public health

Bachelor’s in any of the above and Master’s in any biological science

A valid California Community College Credential
