Job summary

Job description

If selected, you will support the organization's system & reporting needs, including fulfilling data requests, administration of human resources systems, and supporting human capital initiatives.

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.

TIME-IN-GRADE

Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.

FOR THE GS-13 LEVEL

Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-12 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:

  • Utilizes the full range of modules within the USA Staffing system including talent acquisition, new hire onboarding, and familiarity with reporting
  • Identifies areas for process and system improvement to enhance customer, new hire, or human resources user interactions with an automated HR system
  • Explains and implements changes to processes, procedures, and system tasks
  • Applies knowledge of the interrelationships of various Human Resources specialties and how system processes, functions, and capabilities are affected by those interactions
  • Compiles data from databases, spreadsheets, and other system outputs and independently formats it, creates charts and graphs, and summarizes information to meet customer needs

Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
