Job summary

American Vintage Home in Evanston, IL, is seeking a Human Resources & Recruiting Manager to own the entire employee journey—from attracting top talent to optimizing the employee experience that drives retention and growth.

You’ll lead full-cycle recruiting, manage HR operations, and partner with leaders to meet hiring needs while improving onboarding and retention initiatives. This on-site role offers strong benefits and a culture of growth.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and accuracy-driven
• Highly organized
• Experience in recruiting, HR operations, or people coordination
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Comfort handling sensitive and confidential information
• Experience with ATS/HRIS systems (Workday, PeopleSoft, etc.) is a plus

Responsibilities

• Guide candidates from first contact through offer and onboarding
• Coordinate interviews and create a seamless, positive hiring experience
• Build and improve onboarding workflows and employee processes
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
• Partner with leaders to understand hiring needs and make strong hiring decisions
• Support retention through engagement initiatives and follow-ups
• Proactively identify and help resolve employee-related challenges
• Track recruiting performance, tools, and spend
