Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of HSOM Dean's Office HR team, delivering strategic and operational HR services in collaboration with the Office of Human Resources.
  • Provide comprehensive HR support for faculty and staff across HSOM units, including workforce planning, onboarding, employee relations, organizational design, compensation, classification, and performance management.
  • Interpret and administer University and HSOM policies, procedures and best practices while recommending solutions to complex HR matters.
  • Act as liaison between departments, HSOM Dean's Office and Office of Human Resources for HR transactions and personnel matters.
  • Ensure compliance and support audits and reporting activities across the School of Medicine.
  • Partner with hiring managers throughout recruitment lifecycle and coordinate offers, onboarding and faculty recruitment support.
  • Coordinate HR transactions including new positions, reclassifications, compensation actions and personnel changes.
  • Maintain HR records per University retention policies and safeguard confidential information.
  • Provide responsive consultation on policy interpretation, performance management, and organizational changes.
  • Participate in HR initiatives and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

HUMAN RESOURCES PARTNER GENERALIST - (T238409)

To serve as the Human Resources Partner (HRP) for the Heersink School of Medicine (HSOM) Dean's Office, providing strategic and operational human resources support in coordination with the Office of Human Resources. Independently manages comprehensive HR services for the Dean's Office and assigned HSOM departments, centers, and institutes. Partners with department leadership to provide guidance on workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational design, compensation, classification, performance management, and HR policy interpretation. Partner with leadership to deliver strategic and operational HR support, ensure compliance with University policies and procedures, and facilitate the effective delivery of HR services across the School of Medicine.

Responsibilities
  1. Serves as a member of the Heersink School of Medicine (HSOM) Dean's Office Human Resources team, partnering with assigned departments, centers, and institutes to deliver strategic and operational HR services in collaboration with the Office of Human Resources.
  2. Provides comprehensive human resources support for faculty and staff across assigned HSOM units, including workforce planning, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, organizational design, compensation, classification, and performance management.
  3. Serves as a trusted advisor to department leadership by interpreting and administering University and HSOM human resources policies, procedures, and best practices while recommending appropriate solutions to complex HR matters.
  4. Acts as the liaison between assigned departments, centers, institutes, the HSOM Dean's Office, and the Office of Human Resources for academic and non-academic HR transactions, ensuring timely resolution of personnel matters.
  5. Ensures compliance with University, School of Medicine, and regulatory requirements by providing guidance on HR policies, maintaining appropriate documentation, and supporting audit and reporting activities.
  6. Partners with hiring managers throughout the recruitment lifecycle, including position planning, job posting development, candidate selection, offer coordination, onboarding, and faculty recruitment support, while collaborating with Talent Acquisition and other HR stakeholders.
  7. Coordinates and facilitates HR transactions, including new positions, position requests, reclassifications, compensation actions, personnel changes, and employment status updates, ensuring required approvals and documentation are complete and processed accurately.
  8. Maintains HR records and documentation in accordance with University record retention requirements and Dean's Office procedures while safeguarding confidential employee information.
  9. Provides responsive consultation to department administrators, managers, and supervisors on day-to-day HR matters, including policy interpretation, performance management, employee relations, leave administration, and organizational changes, ensuring consistent application of University and School of Medicine policies.
  10. Participates in Dean's Office HR initiatives, process improvement efforts, training and special projects that enhance operational efficiency and customer service across the Heersink School of Medicine.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned

(Salary: $47,665 - $77,455)
