Job description

Schedule: In office Monday, Tuesday & Thursday; remote Wednesday & Friday

Are you an HR leader who knows how to build recruiting momentum, improve the systems behind the process, and take ownership without waiting for someone to tell you what comes next?

Our client is looking for an HR Manager who can lead talent acquisition from strategy through execution while contributing across the broader HR function.

Recruiting will be a significant focus, particularly as you step into the role. This goes well beyond scheduling interviews and moving candidates through a process. You’ll partner with hiring leaders to understand their talent needs, create compelling ways to reach candidates, identify new sourcing channels, manage recruiting workflows within the HRIS, and keep searches moving with urgency.

You’ll also havw broad exposure across HR, including employee relations, compensation, leave administration, engagement, compliance, and HR systems, with the opportunity to continue growing into greater HR leadership responsibility over time.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Strategy
  • Own the full recruiting lifecycle, from intake and sourcing through screening, interviewing, offers, and onboarding.
  • Develop creative recruiting strategies for positions that may require reaching candidates in smaller or more challenging talent markets.
  • Partner with hiring leaders to develop job descriptions, hiring criteria, compensation ranges, and candidate attraction strategies.
  • Identify sourcing channels, recruiting partnerships, career fairs, and community resources based on location and hiring need.
  • Work closely with internal partners to strengthen recruitment marketing and candidate-facing materials.
  • Maintain visibility into every active search, anticipate next steps, and keep hiring leaders informed without needing to be prompted.
HRIS & Process Improvement
  • Manage recruiting workflows, requisitions, approvals, offer processes, and templates within the HRIS.
  • Help clean up and improve existing recruiting processes and system workflows.
  • Use HR technology as more than an end user, with the ability to configure workflows, improve processes, and understand how systems support the employee lifecycle.
  • Maintain data integrity and leverage HR reporting and analytics to support decision-making.
Broader HR Partnership
  • Support employee relations, investigations, coaching conversations, and performance matters in partnership with senior HR leadership.
  • Contribute to compensation administration, market analysis, internal equity reviews, and job classifications.
  • Support leave administration and employment compliance.
  • Participate in employee engagement, recognition, wellness, internship, and retention initiatives.
  • Initially provide support around benefits and open enrollment as the broader HR team continues to evolve.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
  • Significant hands-on recruiting experience, including sourcing, recruiting strategy, candidate outreach, screening, and hiring manager partnership.
  • Strong HRIS experience. Paycom is helpful, but experience configuring workflows, implementing modules, or improving systems within another HRIS is equally valuable.
  • Working knowledge of employee relations and broader HR practices.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills with the confidence to engage employees, candidates, leaders, and groups.
  • A strong sense of urgency and the ability to stay ahead of your work rather than react to it.
  • The creativity to change course when a recruiting strategy is not producing results.
  • Strong organization, follow-through, judgment, and attention to detail.
  • Financial and analytical aptitude.
  • A hands-on, team-oriented working style and the ability to move between strategic thinking and execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
The Environment

This is a fast-moving HR team where people rely on one another to follow through on commitments and keep work moving.

The organization offers flexibility, including a hybrid schedule, while maintaining a strong sense of accountability. Most employees are in the office during traditional business hours on onsite days, and the HR team supports employees working across multiple time zones.

Some periodic travel is required to support recruiting events, company locations, and employee needs. Travel is generally intermittent, although there may be several recruiting-related trips during the fall and occasional multi-day travel.

For the right HR professional, this role offers more than functional breadth. You’ll work closely with senior HR leadership, gain exposure across the organization, and have the opportunity to develop toward broader HR leadership and potential succession responsibility over time.

Our client offers a comprehensive benefits package including:
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • PPO and high-deductible medical plan options with employer-funded HRA or HSA contributions
  • 401(k) with a 5% employer Safe Harbor contribution plus dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings
  • Employer-paid life and AD&D insurance
  • Employer-paid short-term and long-term disability coverage
  • Flexible Spending Account options
  • Employer-funded Lifestyle Spending Account
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Voluntary accident, critical illness, and pet insurance options
Who Will Thrive Here

You’ll likely enjoy this opportunity if you are someone who naturally wants to know where things stand, what needs to happen next, and what you can do to move them forward.

You don’t need every answer on day one. You do need the curiosity to find it, the judgment to act on it, and the communication skills to keep others connected along the way.

R2R Strategic Recruiting and our client are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic.
