Job Description: Human Resources Manager at Vistar

Position Overview: The Human Resources Manager oversees all HR activities at the site, including new hire orientation, payroll, benefits support, associate coaching, employee relations, staffing, OSHA compliance, and safety support. The role involves interaction with associates at all levels, the Vistar corporate office, PFG subsidiaries, and external agencies. The manager functions as part of the team to serve the company's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist managers with staffing and administrative tasks such as I-9 forms and onboarding.
• Train management on policies and procedures, assess training needs, and deliver relevant training programs.
• Represent associates' issues to management and work on resolving concerns.
• Develop and communicate company policies and procedures.
• Explain benefits to new associates, assist with enrollment, and manage leaves.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and collaborate with safety leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of HR experience, including leadership, in distribution, manufacturing, or related industries, with hands-on experience with hourly front-line workers.
• Comfortable supporting associates across two shifts.
• Experience working in warehouse environments with heavy machinery such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
