Job Overview
The HR manager will partner with management at the plant to manage, administer, and answer questions regarding company benefits, policies, and procedures. The HR Manager will communicate effectively with management and employees, and represent the company in a positive/professional manner at all times.
Job Responsibilities
- Accurately maintain/update Human Resource Information System records (e.g., SAP, Kronos, SuccessFactors, E-Verify, etc.).
- Coordinate company functions, meetings, and fundraisers.
- Consult with management, supervisors, and employees on company issues.
- Communicate and educate employees at all levels on the company’s culture, policies, and practices.
- Review and track all disciplines to ensure correct steps are issued and consistency maintained.
- Accept applications, perform interviews, make recommendations, and conduct orientation prior to employee start date.
- Work with staffing agencies to recruit employees.
- Sign off on weekly timecards through the timekeeping system.
- Maintain attendance tracking system and assist in administering discipline as appropriate.
- Order and distribute uniforms to employees.
- Process paperwork/documentation such as FMLA, enrollment forms, etc., completely and accurately.
- Review FMLA paperwork, communicate with corporate regarding ADA accommodations or fitness for duty assessments.
- Manage injured workers' documentation; attend quarterly reviews of claims and hearings.
- Assist and schedule employees for transitional work as needed.
- Serve as employee-company liaison for employment-related issues.
- Assist with compliance issues (e.g., OSHA logs, MSDS books, Affirmative Action logs, Ethical Sourcing audits).
- Implement HR programs across departments, managing processes, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure all documentation within employee files is maintained and confidential.
- Review/update/access employee compensation information, ensuring confidentiality.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, producing quality products exceeding customer expectations.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources experience.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree and/or HR certification.
- Over 5 years of HR experience supporting a large manufacturing facility.
- Decision-making based on standard practices.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, and problem-solve.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Experience with HRIS systems (SAP SuccessFactors preferred).
Working Conditions
- Office environment with occasional exposure to industrial conditions, including temperature extremes, noise, moisture, and machinery.
