Position: Field HR Manager
Location: Remote Option - Midwest

About

The HR Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The role involves forming partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service that reflects the organization's objectives. The HR Manager should maintain a good understanding of the business unit's financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition.

What You'll Do:
  • Conduct weekly meetings with respective business units.
  • Consult with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective investigations.
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to employee management, ensuring compliance and reducing legal risks.
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Assist in organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identify training needs and support individual coaching.
  • Participate in training program evaluation and follow-up.
  • Support Leadership Talent Reviews.
  • Ensure consistent application of HR policies.
  • Maintain organization charts and employee directories.
  • Align HR strategies with business initiatives.
  • Design and implement employee retention strategies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Need:
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% due to acquisition integration.
  • Knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including compensation, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-CP certification preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Understanding of organizational hierarchy, jobs, and compensation practices.
  • Strong time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
