Job summary

Connect Search, LLC partners with a growing organization in the Houston market to identify an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on benefits administration and employee relations, offering visibility and influence across the company. The position is on-site in South Houston with travel up to 25% for critical initiatives and audits.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Strong benefits administration and employee relations background.
• Experience supporting a multi-state and/or complex organization.
• SHRM certification preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead administration and improvement of company-wide benefits programs.
• Manage broker, carrier, and third-party administrator relationships.
• Oversee annual open enrollment and benefits communications.
• Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA and state leave laws.
• Partner with Payroll and Finance on deductions and reporting.
• Serve as a key point of contact for complex employee relations matters.
• Conduct and document workplace investigations involving complaints, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations.
• Advise leadership on performance management, corrective action, and terminations.
• Coach and develop HR team members while strengthening HR policies and processes.
• Partner with senior leadership on HR initiatives, risk management, and special projects.

Connect Search is partnering with a growing organization in the Houston market to identify an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership opportunity for an HR professional who brings deep expertise in benefits administration and employee relations and enjoys serving as a trusted partner to both employees and senior leadership.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the administration and continuous improvement of company-wide benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, wellness, and voluntary benefits
• Manage broker, carrier, and third-party administrator relationships, including renewals and vendor performance
• Oversee annual open enrollment and employee benefits communications
• Ensure compliance with ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and applicable state leave laws
• Partner with Payroll and Finance on deductions, reporting, and reconciliations
• Serve as a key point of contact for complex employee relations matters
• Conduct and document workplace investigations involving complaints, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and policy violations
• Advise leadership on performance management, corrective action, and terminations
• Coach and develop HR team members while helping strengthen HR policies, processes, and overall employee experience
• Partner with senior leadership on HR initiatives, risk management, and special projects

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience
• Strong background in both benefits administration and employee relations
• Experience supporting a multi-state and/or complex organization
• Prior experience managing or mentoring HR staff
• Strong knowledge of employment regulations and HR best practices
• ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree and SHRM-CP/PHR preferred
• Ability to travel up to 25%
