Base pay range
$85,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Job Summary:
The Human Resource Manager (HRM) will lead and direct the functions of the Human Resources (HR) Department including recruiting, interviewing and hiring staff, administering benefits, managing the performance evaluation process, managing compensation evaluations and enforcing company policies and practices.The HRM is also in charge of maintaining an office environment that is a safe, healthy, and a comfortable place for employees to work.The HRM ensures that day-to-day operations run smoothly and that the office runs efficiently by carrying out a range of administrative and managerial tasks.
The HRM will report directly to the Director of Finance but will work closely with ownership.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, andsensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring ofqualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Manages and maintains our online training program (Outsource University) and identifies additional courses, programs and initiatives that provide developmental and advancement opportunities for employees.
- Manages compliance training and certification for all employees.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Reviews and approves bi-weekly timesheets
- Reviews and approves paid time off requests
- Manages Work From Home schedule for the entire company
- Supervises the Front Desk Coordinator and ensures adequate front desk coverage at all times
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Familiarity with BambooHR (www.bamboohr.com) or proficiency with any equivalent HRIS systems.
- Familiarity with Small Improvements (www.small-improvements.com) or proficiency with any similar performance evaluation software.
- Familiarity with Open Sesame (www.opensesame.com) or any similar Learning Management System (LMS)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- A minimum of three years of human resource management experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
