Job description

A hospitality group in NYC is seeking an HR Manager to oversee day-to-day human resources operations for one of its subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of HR and payroll experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry, with strong organizational skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.

Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office, 1 day remote

Hours: 9:00am – 6:00pm

Salary: $110k – $120k base + discretionary year-end bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and ensure accuracy of timesheets and tip-outs
  • Maintain employee records and manage PTO and time-off requests
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and safety regulations
  • Track I-9s, certifications, and compliance documentation
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting, including interviews and background checks
  • Conduct employee onboarding, orientations, and offboarding
  • Address employee relations issues and disciplinary actions with discretion
  • Coordinate benefits administration and support employee questions
  • Handle ad hoc HR projects and support the finance team as needed

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of HR and payroll experience in hospitality or restaurant environments
  • Proficient in ADP and Toast platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
