People Operations Manager - Onsite in Culver City (*MUST be local to the office) - $150,000-165,000 base

We are seeking an experienced and people-first HR Manager to lead and evolve our human resources function as we continue to scale. This role will serve as a strategic partner to leadership while remaining hands-on across core HR operations. Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted partner to leadership and managers on employee relations, performance management, and organizational development
• Own full-cycle HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HRIS management
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance practices in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Lead recruitment efforts in partnership with hiring managers, including workforce planning, interview processes, and offer execution
• Manage employee engagement initiatives, performance review cycles, and learning and development programs
• Provide guidance on compensation, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations, ensuring consistency and fairness
• Oversee benefits programs and act as the primary point of contact for employee questions
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity and confidentiality
• Support company growth initiatives including headcount planning, manager training, and culture-building programs

Qualifications

• 7-8+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
• Experience partnering directly with executives and people managers
• Hands-on experience with HRIS systems, payroll coordination, and benefits administration
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution
