Job summary

Milliner Talent Solutions seeks a Human Resources Manager for a manufacturing facility on the Northwest side of Indianapolis. The role combines administrative duties with strategic HR initiatives to support smooth operations.

You will develop policies, lead recruitment and retention, manage performance and compensation programs, oversee safety, and promote employee relations and culture. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field with at least five years of HR Generalist

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR Generalist/senior Generalist experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to partner at all levels.

  • Lead the development of HR programs such as training, healthcare management, hiring, culture, and diversity initiatives.

  • Support recruitment, selection, and promotional programs to enhance diversity and inclusion.
  • Develop policies for affirmative action, harassment, employee relations, and training/development.

Job description

Our client located on the Northwest side of Indianapolis is looking for a Human Resources Manager, who will support a manufacturing facility in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The role will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities helping to plan and administer important functions such organizational planning and development; employee recruitment and retention; performance management; compensation structures; employee relations and culture building; benefit programs; safety and health; training and professional development.

RESPONSIBILITES
  • Develop human resources policies and processes that support the strategy, goals, and objectives of the company.
  • Manage processes in such a manner that ensures cost-effectiveness, market competitiveness and internal equity among employees.
  • Leads the development and continuous improvement of new Human Resources programs, such as training, healthcare management, hiring, workplace satisfaction, diversity programs, culture.
  • Manage and monitor the performance management process to include: goal setting; performance appraisals; coaching and feedback; wage and salary structure; pay policies; and career development.
  • Assists recruitment, selection and promotional programs that support diversity and inclusion in the workforce.
  • Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of business issues such as affirmative action; sexual harassment; employee complaints; training and development; career development.
  • Monitor legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the business local, state, and federal. These include OSHA, EEO, Wage and Hour issues, etc. Monitor the company's exposure and handle requests for information and reporting requirements.
  • Support other areas such as relocation, immigration, employee communication, employee safety and health.
  • Coordinate employee investigations, coaching/discipline, legal responses and training/compliance requirements.
  • Acts as HR ambassador for customer audits, HR procurement meetings, compliance meetings, and external vendor or government agencies as needed.
  • Other projects as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field REQUIRED.
  • Manufacturing or warehousing industry experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an HR Generalist / Senior Generalist role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication and ability to build partnerships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and problem-solving skills.
  • Good computer skills including MS Office; prior experience with HRIS or Applicant Tracking Systems preferred.
  • Able to accommodate a flexible schedule, as needed.
