BizOps Collective is seeking an experienced HR Manager for a growing client within the manufacturing industry. As the sole HR professional, you will be instrumental in driving HR initiatives while managing all aspects of HR operations including, but not limited to talent acquisition, benefits administration, employee relations, payroll, policies & procedures, reporting & analysis, safety, compliance, special projects, etc.
Overview of Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition: Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring new employees. Facilitate new employee onboarding to ensure a smooth integration into the company. Oversee the employee offboarding process, including conducting exit interviews and ensuring proper documentation. Evaluate and revise employee job descriptions, offer letters, and compensation packages.
- Employee Relations : Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and disputes, ensuring proper protocols are followed. Foster a positive work culture and ensure that employees feel heard and valued.
- Leadership Development : Take the lead on developing leadership programs and initiatives to elevate the capabilities of the company’s leadership team and prepare for future growth.
- Performance Management : Implement and oversee performance management processes, including employee evaluations, goal setting, and feedback. Develop strategies to support continuous employee growth and development.
- Benefits Administration : Administer employee benefits, including health insurance and 401(k) plans. Explore and implement better insurance carriers and new IRA options to enhance employee offerings. Manage communications with Benefits Broker and all FMLA or workers comp matters.
- Payroll Administration : Manage payroll functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of wages, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions.
- HR Compliance : Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Stay up-to-date with OSHA regulations and handle all safety, accident, and injury matters, reports, and audits.
- Policies & Procedures : Develop and implement more efficient and streamlined processes. Review and revise the employee handbook, develop more robust employee forms, spreadsheets, scorecards, evaluation forms, etc.
- Special Projects : Work on various projects to enhance HR policies and procedures, employee benefits, and expansion planning. Additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR Certifications are a plus.
- 5-8+ years of HR management experience within a manufacturing or warehouse operations environment.
- Comfortability being the sole HR professional and go-to for a small company with in-depth knowledge of HR laws, policies, and best practices.
- Strong technical skills with proficiency using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Paylocity software experience is a plus.
- Proven success driving special projects related to HR processes, program initiatives, and improvements.
- Extremely self-motivated individual who is p roactive and takes initiative.
- Balanced leader who is hands on, able to dive in without hesitation, and drive key results while also being a strategic and analytical problem-solver who makes intentional, yet effective business decisions.
- Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and organizational skills.
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with ease.
- Personable and approachable with excellent communication skills and the proven ability to guide/coach leadership and staff effectively.
This is a full-time, salaried position that has the opportunity to earn project-based bonuses on an annual or quarterly basis. Will sit 100% in office, M-F 8-5PM. Company pays 100% of the employee's healthcare and offers a range of additional benefits/perks.
