A great UHY client is seeking an HR Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role, recruiting, onboarding, and touchpoint experience.
The HR Manager role is an onsite position. This is a client direct hire position.
- Manage the recruitment process for medical and administrative staff, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions.
- Ensure that all hiring practices comply with healthcare industry regulations and organizational policies.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
- Foster a positive work culture and open lines of communication between employees and management.
- Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary issues, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide guidance and support on employee conflicts and performance issues.
- Promote and enforce company policies and procedures related to workplace conduct and performance.
- Oversee employee benefits programs (healthcare, retirement plans, PTO, etc.), ensuring they are competitive and compliant with healthcare regulations.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, questions, and issues.
- Monitor compensation structures and conduct market analysis to ensure fair and equitable pay practices.
- Ensure the office complies with all labor laws, healthcare regulations (such as HIPAA), and safety standards.
- Maintain employee records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor workplace safety and conduct training to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate and conduct training programs on topics like employee development, compliance, and HIPAA regulations.
- Support leadership in promoting continuous learning and growth opportunities for staff.
- Develop performance management systems to align with business objectives and employee development goals.
- Support the development and implementation of performance evaluation systems.
- Monitor and review employee performance appraisals, offering guidance to management on corrective actions and recognition programs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy laws.
- Handle payroll processing and ensure accurate compensation for all staff members.
- Assist with HR budget planning and expense management as required.
HR Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably within a healthcare or medical office setting.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws and healthcare regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, healthcare-focused environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
HR Manager Preferred Qualifications
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- Experience working with medical billing and coding staff, clinical teams, and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific benefits and compensation packages.
- This is a full-time position in a medical office setting.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required.
- The HR Manager will be expected to maintain a professional, confidential, and approachable demeanor in dealing with employees and leadership.
