Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Human Resources Manager to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, a passion for building positive employee relationships, and proven experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, and full-cycle recruiting. This role requires a strategic and solution-focused mindset to support a growing and dynamic workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as a trusted partner to employees and leadership, promoting a positive work environment.
  2. Lead and manage employee relations issues, conduct workplace investigations, and resolve conflicts professionally and confidentially.
  3. Manage workers' compensation cases, ensuring timely and compliant handling.
  4. Drive full-cycle recruitment: sourcing candidates (including via LinkedIn), conducting interviews, extending offers, and onboarding new hires.
  5. Oversee and perform background checks, drug screenings, and professional reference checks.
  6. Conduct I-9 audits and ensure ongoing compliance.
  7. Coordinate with the benefits team to facilitate new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  8. Serve as a backup to the Benefits Administrator when needed.
  9. Collaborate with HR and leadership on initiatives to improve employee engagement and workplace culture.
  10. Utilize HRIS systems, particularly UKG, to manage employee data and reporting.
  11. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR laws and best practices.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, including 3+ years in employee relations.
  2. Strong experience with workplace investigations and workers’ compensation case management.
  3. Proficiency in recruiting, onboarding, I-9 compliance, and background check processes.
  4. Experience with LinkedIn recruiting tools and strategies.
  5. Knowledge of UKG or similar HRIS systems preferred.
  6. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; solution-focused.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
  8. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
