Job summary

The Recruiting Pros is conducting a high-priority search for a hands-on Human Resources Manager for a world-class manufacturer based in Monroe, NC. You will oversee programs related to human capital for ~110 employees across Monroe, NC, Oskaloosa, IA, and remote staff across the US.

You will lead recruitment, onboarding, coaching, training, employee relations and retention, safety and compliance, and workforce compensation (payroll outsourced).

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration or human resources management strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years human resources management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems to manage and report on employee performance, compliance, etc.; experience using ADP considered a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in using Excel and PowerPoint to gather and present information used in reporting, analysis, and presentation creation.
  • Ability to prioritize and strategize to meet company goals and objectives.
  • Experience leading teams using change management skills with flexibility in approach to solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Understand, implement, and enforce all established safety, health, quality, and operational policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Interpret and apply company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, programs in accordance with applicable laws and company objectives; communicate changes/additions/deletions to appropriate parties.
  • Serve as the liaison between leadership and team members by responding in a timely manner to questions and/or concerns and assist in the resolution of employee-related issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of legislation affecting human resources; inform leadership and monitor company policies to ensure compliance.
  • Partner with plant leadership to establish appropriate staffing levels related to established budget.
  • Oversees preparation of current and accurate job descriptions and matching compensation programs; suggest incentive programs that encourage excellent performance and increase retention rates.
  • Drive successful recruitment, selection, and retention programs to meet staffing needs.
  • Plan and coordinate new employee onboarding to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Analyze training needs to design employee and leadership training and development as needed.
  • Maintain records and compile reports concerning personnel-related data including new hires, turnover, employee programs, performance appraisals, compensation and wage progression, and absenteeism.

Job Description

Our team at The Recruiting Pros isconducting a high-priority search for a talented Human Resources Manager onbehalf of a world-class custom manufacturerlocated in Monroe, NC. In this hands-onrole you will overseethe development, implementation and administration of programs, procedures and processesrelated to human capital for the company, directly supporting approximately 110employees located in Monroe, NC, Oskaloosa, IA and remote employees working insales, service and engineering positions across the US.

In this role youwill be responsible for recruitment, onboarding, coaching, training, employeerelations and retention, safety and compliance as well as compensation andbenefits (payroll is outsourced). As part of the leadership team, you will maintaina current understanding of the business needs of the company to provide timelyand appropriate solutions to meet these needs.

This position isbased in Monroe, NC and will require you to work onsite. You will also be required to travel to Oskaloosa,IA approximately one time per month. Thisis an immediate full-time, permanent placement position.

Routine responsibilities will require you to:

  • Manage the investigationand administration of worker compensation claims, maintain up-to-date record keepingand documentation; represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Provide effectiveguidance and coaching to leadership relating to employee concerns, problems, anddisciplinary action to comply with company policies.
  • Work with financeteam regarding the choice of benefits providers and scope of benefits offered;manage administration and implementation of benefits.
  • Participate inspecial projects related to other functional areas and perform other relatedduties as assigned.

Required education and experience:

  • A bachelor’sdegree in business administration or human resources management stronglypreferred.
  • 5+ years human resourcesmanagement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency inHRIS systems to manage and report on employee performance, compliance, etc.;experience using ADP considered a strong plus.
