Position Summary
The Human Resources Intern will provide administrative and coordination support to the HR team across a range of people-related activities and processes.
This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly organised, enjoys working with people, and is passionate about developing a career in Human Resources. The successful candidate will be willing to learn, able to pick up new information and processes quickly, and comfortable supporting a fast-paced HR function.
The HR Intern will gain exposure to a broad range of Human Resources activities while providing valuable day-to-day administrative support to the wider team.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Currently studying, or recently completed, a qualification in Human Resources, or relevant field is desirable.
- Previous administrative or customer service experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- A proactive and positive approach to work.
- A willingness to learn and the ability to pick up new processes and information quickly.
- A genuine interest in Human Resources and a passion for working with and supporting people.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Professionalism and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate work.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support to the Human Resources team across a range of day-to-day activities.
- Assist with maintaining and filing HR documentation, trackers and databases.
- Provide administrative support throughout the recruitment process, including scheduling interviews and communicating with candidates.
- Assist with coordinating onboarding and offboarding tasks.
- Support the HR team with ad hoc projects and administrative tasks as required.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and a high level of attention to detail.
