Human Resources Intern - Summer Internship Program

LRS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our Human Resources team for the summer. This internship is designed to provide hands‑on experience across both Recruiting and Human Resources, with a strong emphasis on understanding and participating in the full lifecycle of the hiring process.

We offer hands‑on experience in a casual, yet professional work environment, making it an excellent place to learn and grow. Interns will be based at our corporate headquarters in Springfield, Illinois (temporary housing may be available). Applicants must be available for full‑time work from mid‑May to mid‑August 2027.

Core Responsibilities

• Support full‑cycle recruiting activities, including job posting creation, candidate sourcing, resume review, interview coordination, and onboarding.
• Participate in the hiring process by attending intake meetings, observing and conducting phone screens, and evaluating candidate qualifications in partnership with recruiters and hiring managers.
• Assist with HR operations, including new hire onboarding, documentation, records management, and maintenance of HR/recruiting procedures.
• Contribute to employee programs, internship initiatives, recognition events, and special HR projects while gaining exposure to broader HR functions such as benefits and employee lifecycle processes.
