Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated passion for human resources, specifically in employee engagement, workplace culture, and modern HR theories.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Creative problem solver with a detail oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead end-to-end planning, logistics, and execution of internal employee engagement events (team building, wellness workshops, recognition ceremonies, social gatherings).
  • Drive the 3-month Employee Engagement Project, maintaining timelines, coordinating with vendors, and managing the budget.
  • Assist HR with daily operations across the employee lifecycle (talent acquisition, onboarding, HRIS data management, performance tracking) under guidance of HR professionals.
  • Develop initiatives aligning with organizational behavior principles and leadership theories to strengthen team cohesion and information flow.
  • Design and distribute post-event surveys, analyze data, and provide actionable recommendations for future HR initiatives.
  • Ensure events and engagement strategies are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with EEO standards.
  • Draft internal communications to promote upcoming events and encourage participation.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Human Resources Intern to join our team for a 3-month internship. In this role, you will be the driving force behind our upcoming Employee Engagement Project. You will take ownership of planning, coordinating, and executing a series of employee events designed to foster a positive, inclusive, and highly motivated workplace culture. This is a hands‑on opportunity to directly impact team morale while gaining practical experience in modern HR practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Feedback & Analysis: Design and distribute post‑event surveys to measure engagement levels, analyze the data, and provide actionable recommendations for future HR initiatives.
  • Inclusive Design: Ensure all events and engagement strategies are accessible, inclusive, and compliant with equal employment opportunity (EEO) standards, creating a welcoming environment for all staff.
  • Internal Communications: Draft compelling internal communications to promote upcoming events and encourage high participation rates.

Essential Mental & Physical Function

Mental Functions: Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. This position performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to supervisor's guidelines.

Physical Functions: Sitting required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting required. Constant keyboarding and telephone usage.
