General Purpose:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing administrative support to HR and administering HR policies and procedures that cover multiple functional areas.

Shift(s) Available :

  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be required and assigned):

Talent Acquisition

  • Collaborate with Recruiting to support hiring needs by participating in posting open positions, screening applicants, scheduling interviews, and preparing interview documents.
  • Coordinate and schedule new hire orientation for selected candidates.
  • Update candidate records and job postings.
  • Coordinate and conduct pre-employment background, drug, and lead screenings.
  • Act as support or backup for new hire orientations.
  • Maintain jobs/positions in HRIS for new or updated job descriptions.
  • Compose offer letters for selected candidates, as needed.
  • Act as point of contact for Recruiting with Temporary Staffing Agencies, as needed.
  • Participate in interviews, as needed.
  • Conduct job offers for non-exempt candidates, as needed.

People Operations

  • Prepare required documentation for personnel transactions, such as new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations.
  • Conduct random drug screening.
  • Assist with annual performance evaluations, as needed.
  • Process employee disciplinary actions received by HR.
  • Coordinate and maintain GLOCK Strong Recipient and other employee recognition programs.
  • Coordinate and maintain employee perks programs.
  • Establish and maintain badge system profiles and process badge access requests.
  • Provide administrative support in processing FMLA and leave of absence requests.
  • Stay up to date on legal regulations related to benefits and HR, including HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, etc.

General HR

  • Serve as first level of HR contact by answering general employee requests and questions and referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate HR staff member.
  • Maintain HR General email inbox by reviewing emails and responding to or referring inquiries to appropriate HR staff member.
  • Create and maintain new hire and active personnel files.
  • Maintain and update HR databases and records with accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Under direction of HR supervisor, utilize a company credit card to make purchases for the department.
  • Handle employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, preparing documents, and handling correspondence.
  • Assist with office coverage as needed, including HR lobby area.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or a related field required.

3+ years of related experience.

Attention to detail; ability to perform duties with high level of accuracy.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Driver’s License

PHR or similar certification is preferred

The work environment primarily requires the employee to work inside in a climate controlled administrative office setting and dress business casual in accordance with the GLOCK Employment Policy Handbook. Employee will work regularly scheduled shifts within the department’s hours of operation and may be asked to work overtime and weekends, when needed for special assignments or programs.
