Job summary

General Purpose:

Maintains a safe operating condition of buildings, equipment, and landscape in and around GLOCK, Inc. and GLOCK owned facilities. Duties may involve carpentry; repairing electrical or mechanical equipment; installing new equipment; repairing buildings, floors, etc. and landscaping.

Shift(s) Available:

  • 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

  • Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them.
  • Paints and repairs roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, and other parts of building structures.
  • Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
  • Repairs or replaces defective equipment using hand tools and power tools.
  • Handles electrical problems and air conditioning problems, fixing minor problems, and assisting with the repair of major problems.
  • Performs electrical repairs such as repairing or replacing broken switches, plugs or fuses.
  • Performs plumbing repairs such as un-clogging sinks and toilets, repairing or replacing toilets and faucets.
  • Performs landscaping duties for all GLOCK owned facilities.
  • Responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the Maintenance areas.
  • Maintains the parking lot ensuring cleanliness and safety (i.e., lighting, routine cleaning, painting, and power washing).
  • Maintains all GLOCK owned automobiles ensuring safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance.
  • Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
  • Driving a variety of company vehicles such as, but not limited to, trucks, golf carts, SUV’s
  • Follows fire safety procedures and regulations.
  • Assists in custodial duties when required.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma or GED

2 - 4 years related experience and/or training

Knowledge of maintenance methods and procedures; knowledge of the materials, supplies and equipment utilized in maintenance activities

Ability to use and operate tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches in a safe and efficient manner

Knowledge of electrical and plumbing code

License and Certifications:

Valid Driver’s License

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to occasionally loud.
