Human Resources Generalist (Manufacturing)

Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring an HR Generalist to contribute to our team in La Vergne TN. The HR Generalist guides all aspects of HR delivery to positively impact business unit performance. This includes administering the functions of the employment lifecycle from recruitment to exit such as sourcing, staffing, employment administration, associate relations, leave administration, benefit administration, and training.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or directly related year for year experience
  • 3 years of human resources experience with exposure to generalist responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, logistics, or other fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Experience administering employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and return‑to‑work processes.
  • Experience conducting employee relations investigations and providing recommendations to leaders on employee matters.
  • Proven ability to partner with operations leaders and support a workforce of 200+ employees across multiple shifts.
  • SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the functions of the employment lifecycle such as sourcing, staffing, employment administration, onboarding, associate relations, leave administration, benefits administration, and training.
  • Manage the recruitment process to ensure compliance and the availability of talent to meet client group needs. This may include managing vendor/agency staffing relationships to supply a contingent workforce as needed.
  • Deliver orientation and educate new hires on company policy and procedures.
  • Advise and counsel management and associates on various state and federal regulations, company policies and procedures and HR practices, as they relate to associate issues, performance management, promotion and compensation practices.
  • Provide support to client group on associate relations matters, to include investigations, leveraging strategies toward resolution and providing recommendations for counseling/ employment status.
  • Escalate complex associate relations matters to senior HR leadership as needed to ensure consistency with company practice and policy and mitigate legal risk for the organization.
  • Administer/Support HR as liaison with the third‑party administrator for all Short‑Term Disability claims.
  • Maintain associate records for client groups, both paper and electronic (PeopleSoft & Kronos) files; enter status changes in HRIS systems; generate reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior HR and management in facilitating activities that drive job satisfaction, engagement and morale.

Hiring Salary Range: $65,224k-$82,466k. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. It will be determined by factors including but not limited to: the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, geographic location, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
