This is a time limited position. The incumbent will provide professional human resources support for the administration and processing of contract-worker actions for the Mississippi State Department of Health. Responsibilities include reviewing and processing contract-worker documentation in accordance with applicable state requirements, MSDH policies, and established procedures; entering and maintaining contract-worker actions in MAGIC Employee Central; and processing renewals, modifications, terminations, and other authorized contract maintenance actions.
The successful candidate should demonstrate strong communication, organizational, mathematical, and customer-service skills; attention to detail; dependability; adaptability and flexibility; the ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and deadlines; the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team; and the ability to complete assigned work with appropriate independence.
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of experience. Agency Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the MSPB minimum qualifications, at least one (1) year of experience using MAGIC or MAGIC Employee Central is preferred. Certified Mississippi Purchasing Agent (CMA) certification is also preferred.
