About the Agency: The Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration is the primary agency responsible for State government financial and administrative operations including employee payroll, vendor payments, employee insurance, construction, maintenance, and protection of State buildings in the Capitol Complex, financial information management systems, management of the State's vehicle fleet, and numerous other related activities.

About the Position: This position is the director within the Office of Fiscal Management. This position is responsible for managing the Payroll and Support Services Department. This position is responsible for reviewing financial documents for accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations, performing other duties and special projects as assigned, and working closely with agencies to resolve any issues with payroll.

What you'll need to be Successful: This position will require knowledge of accounting and auditing standards, management skills, the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and the ability to work with a complex accounting system independently.
