Manages data center and cloud infrastructure operations to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient IT services. Oversees servers, storage, networking, virtualization, cloud architecture, cybersecurity data center/cloud infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery. Provides leadership to technical staff, coordinates infrastructure projects and vendors, and supports the planning and implementation of hybrid-cloud and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 5-8 + years of IT experience in multiple functions
• May have had supervisory and/or managerial experience
• Hiring agency prefers:At least 12 years of IT infrastructure experience, particularly in enterprise or government environments
• Experience managing data center operations, including servers and storage, virtualization, network infrastructure, backup/recovery, hardware installation and maintenance, data-center monitoring, systems administration experience, especially Windows/Linux enterprise environments
• Experience maintaining high availability/disaster recovery and business-continuity operations
• IT infrastructure project management experience
• Experience supervising technical employees, assigning work, evaluating performance, and managing contractors/vendors
• Experience developing policies, procedures, standards, and documentation for data-center operations
• Experience coordinating with vendors, departments, and stakeholders Ability to evaluate technology needs and make sound recommendations
