Job description

We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will provide day-to-day HR support across a variety of core functions. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will help administer HR programs, maintain accurate records, ensure compliance, and deliver responsive, high-quality service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Support

You will manage the end-to-end recruitment cycle by posting open positions on approved job boards and the company website. Your duties include screening resumes, conducting initial candidate screenings, coordinating interviews with hiring managers, preparing offer letter templates and new-hire packets, and managing background checks and reference verifications.

Onboarding & Offboarding

You will oversee the employee lifecycle transition points by preparing orientation materials and coordinating first-day logistics. This includes completing I-9 verification, maintaining E-Verify and workplace poster compliance, and inputting new-hire data into the HRIS. Additionally, you will handle separations by collecting equipment, revoking system access, preparing separation paperwork, conducting exit interviews, and compiling feedback for the HR Manager.

Payroll & Benefits Administration

You will serve as a primary resource for employees regarding benefits enrollment, qualifying life event changes, and general inquiries about PTO, holidays, and company policies. You will track FMLA and leave usage using designated spreadsheets, notify carriers of updates, and provide hands-on assistance to the HR Manager with payroll preparation and processing.

Records & Compliance

You will maintain accurate and organized digital and physical employee files in alignment with retention policies. Your responsibilities include auditing personnel files for completeness, flagging discrepancies for the HR Manager, assisting with compliance filings such as the EEO-1 and OSHA 300 logs, preparing for audits, and updating policy documents and the employee handbook as directed.

General HR Support & Special Projects

You will draft internal communications, memos, and announcements under the guidance of the HR Manager and respond to employment verification requests. You will also manage Trainual content, provide platform support to all staff members, oversee special employee milestones and recognition programs, manage newsletters, and handle other HR projects and duties as assigned.

Who You Are
  • A Prioritizer: You understand that not every "urgent" request is a "priority." You can manage multiple projects without breaking a sweat.
  • Systems-Minded: You enjoy creating processes that make things run smoother for everyone.
  • A Culture Advocate: You genuinely care about the employee experience and want to celebrate our team's wins.
  • Discreet & Professional: You handle sensitive HR information with the utmost confidentiality.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: [1-3+ years] of professional experience in Human Resources or a related administrative role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS platforms and G-Suite
  • Knowledge: Foundational understanding of general HR practices, employment laws, and compliance standards (e.g., I-9, E-Verify, FMLA, EEO-1).
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, high attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a high degree of discretion when handling confidential information.
What We Offer
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: Health, dental, vision, and life insurance premiums for employee-level coverage are fully paid for by the firm.
  • Retirement Planning: 3% employer contribution toward your 401(k).
  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO) and paid holidays.
  • Professional growth and development support.

Our organization is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
