The HR Generalist at Jax provides hands-on Human Resources support across a fast-paced, multilocation organization with a frontline workforce. This position supports a broad range of HR
responsibilities, including employee relations, UKG Ready administration, leave and absence
management, workers’ compensation, policy and process administration, onboarding and offboarding,
reporting, employee records, and general HR operations.
HR Generalists may be assigned primary responsibility for specific HR processes, locations, or employee
populations based on business needs and team structure. All HR Generalists are expected to develop
broad functional knowledge, cross-train across core responsibilities, and provide backup coverage to
ensure continuity of HR support.

- Serve as a trusted HR resource to employees and leaders across assigned locations, providingresponsive support within a multi-unit, frontline workforce.
- Manage day-to-day employee relations matters, including attendance, performance, conduct,workplace concerns, policy interpretation, corrective action, and manager coaching; escapecomplex or higher-risk matters appropriately.
- Conduct and support workplace investigations, including interviews, fact gathering, documentationreview, findings, follow-up, and confidential case documentation.
- Utilize UKG Ready to administer employee lifecycle processes, including hires, rehires, transfers, joband compensation changes, status changes, terminations, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Troubleshoot UKG Ready questions and workflows, maintain employee data integrity, conductroutine audits, and support system testing, documentation, and process improvements.
- Support leaves of absence and workplace accommodations processes, including required documentation, deadlines, employee and manager communication, restrictions, and return-to-work coordination.
- Partner with Risk on workers’ compensation administration from claim reporting through return towork, including employee and leader communication, work restrictions, and return-to-workcoordination.
- Support consistent application of HR policies and procedures and assist with the development,maintenance, and communication of policies, SOPs, workflows, forms, and job aids.
- Support HR compliance and recordkeeping, including background check, I-9/employment eligibilityprocesses, employee records, internal audits, and identification of documentation or process gaps.
- Manage assigned HR requests, inboxes, cases, and follow-up in accordance with establishedservice-level expectations, ensuring employees and leaders receive timely, accurate, respectful, andsolutions-oriented support from initial request through resolution.
- Prepare and maintain recurring and ad hoc HR reports, metrics, and data analysis using UKG Ready,Excel, and other available tools.
- Support benefits administration, employee communications, HR projects, audits, recruitingactivities, and other HR programs or initiatives as business needs require.
- Educate and coach managers on HR processes, systems, documentation expectations, and theirresponsibilities in executing company policies and practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, accuracy, and efficiency through technology,automation, AI-enabled tools, and process improvement.
- Take primary responsibility for designated HR processes, locations, or employee populations whilecross-training across core HR functions and providing backup coverage to ensure continuity of HRsupport, projects, hiring events, workforce planning initiatives, and other HR priorities as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, orequivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience in an HR Generalist, HR Operations, EmployeeRelations, or similar role required.
- Hands-on UKG Ready experience required.
- Experience supporting a multi-unit or multi-location organization preferred.
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR policies, and employment practices;multi-state HR experience preferred.
- Experience supporting a frontline and/or hourly employee population preferred.
- SHRM other HRCI certification preferred.

- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn and effectively use HR systems and technology,troubleshoot routine issues, work with data and reporting tools, and leverage automation and AI-enabled tools to improve HR processes and efficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and dataintegrity.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across HR, Operations, Risk, and otherbusiness functions.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- This position is onsite 5 days/week.
- Up to 25% travel to company locations as business needs require.
- Ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, and move between work areas and company locationsthroughout the workday.
- Ability to regularly use a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard officeequipment and review information presented electronically and in written form.
- Ability to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electroniccommunication with employees, leaders, and external partners.
- Ability to occasionally bend, reach, stoop, and lift or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Work is performed in a combination of office and active car wash environments, which mayinclude exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, vehicle traffic, and wet, slippery, oruneven walking surfaces.
- Ability to safely navigate operating locations, including parking lots, wash facilities, equipmentareas, and other employee work areas, as needed to perform HR responsibilities.
- Must comply with all applicable safety procedures, site requirements, and dress/uniformstandards.
