The Valley College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through payroll and benefits administration. This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer and supports a broad range of HR duties in a dynamic academic environment.

The ideal candidate brings a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and at least 3 years of HR experience, with expertise in recruiting, payroll, benefits, and HRIS.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive HR experience.
  • Experience with recruiting, payroll and benefits administration.
  • Knowledge of federal and Arizona employment laws.

This job description provides a general outline of duties and qualifications of the position. Other duties may be assigned, and the description may be changed at any time. Position Description

The Human Resources Generalist serves as a key member of the operations team and is responsible for supporting a broad range of human resources functions for The Valley College of Osteopathic Medicine. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position supports the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through payroll, benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, and offboarding. The Human Resources Generalist will help foster a positive, service-oriented workplace culture aligned with the College’s mission of excellence in osteopathic medical education. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, knowledgeable in HR best practices, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Management, or related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience.
  • Experience managing recruiting processes and applicant tracking systems.
  • Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits.
  • Working knowledge of federal and Arizona employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.
