Job summary

LHH is seeking an HR Generalist in Oakland, CA for a temp-to-hire role. The position offers a hybrid schedule with on-site days and remote days, supporting a collaborative team and meaningful HR work.

The role requires at least 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, solid knowledge of benefits, workers' compensation, onboarding, and HRIS administration. ADP Workforce Now experience is preferred, with strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist experience
• Strong knowledge of Benefits administration, Workers' compensation, and Employee onboarding and orientation
• HR compliance and recordkeeping
• HRIS administration
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to build relationships and effectively support employees at all levels

Responsibilities

• Administer employee benefits programs and serve as a resource for employee questions
• Manage workers' compensation claims and coordinate return-to-work processes
• Facilitate onboarding, new hire orientation, and employee paperwork
• Maintain HRIS records and personnel files
• Process benefits invoices and support benefits administration activities
• Respond to employee inquiries through the HR ticketing system
• Support compliance initiatives, policies, and HR best practices
• Assist with open enrollment planning, employee education, and issue resolution
• Partner with brokers and benefit providers to address employee needs

This is a temp-to-hire opportunity offering a collaborative team environment, meaningful work, and long-term growth potential.

Schedule & Location

• Hybrid schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite; Monday and Friday remote
• Oakland, CA, 1 min walk from 19th street BART station
• Work hours:
• 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Compensation

• Competitive salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 annually
