Job summary

Ultimate Staffing seeks an on-site HR Generalist in Hopkins, MN to lead full-cycle HR: recruiting, onboarding, benefits, employee relations, and compliance in a manufacturing environment. Candidates need 3+ years HR experience, strong knowledge of employment law, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, and SHRM-CP/PHR is a plus.

You’ll partner with leadership to support staffing, training, safety, and performance processes while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HR experience in a similar environment.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production settings preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and onboard hourly and salaried employees.
• Coordinate new hire onboarding and orientations.
• Serve as primary HR resource for policies, benefits, attendance, and procedures.
• Track attendance, timekeeping, PTO, and related records.
• Support employee relations activities including investigations and progressive discipline.
• Assist managers with performance reviews, coaching, and improvement plans.
• Maintain personnel files, HR records, and training documentation.
• Coordinate employee development and training programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Assist with workers' compensation and safety initiatives.
• Generate reports and maintain HR metrics.

HR Generalist$70,000-$90,000 | Full-Time | 100% Onsite Hopkins

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and onboard hourly and salaried employees
• Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure completion of onboarding documentation
• Serve as a primary HR resource for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, attendance, and workplace procedures
• Track employee attendance, timekeeping, PTO requests, and related documentation
• Support employee relations activities, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management processes
• Assist managers with performance reviews, coaching conversations, and performance improvement plans
• Maintain personnel files, HR records, and training documentation
• Coordinate employee development and training programs
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
• Assist with workers' compensation administration and safety-related initiatives
• Generate reports and maintain accurate HR metrics and records
• Provide administrative support to operational and leadership teams as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Human Resources experience required
• Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, and reporting tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $70,000-$90,000 annually, depending on experience
