Our client, a growing private equity-backed manufacturing organization, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support its operations in the Vineland/Millville area. This is a highly visible, hands-on role that partners closely with employees and leadership to ensure the effective execution of day-to-day HR operations while helping build a strong, engaged, and compliant workforce.

Position Overview
The Human Resources Generalist will serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers while supporting a broad range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, HRIS management, compliance, training coordination, and workforce administration. The successful candidate will be organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee and manager questions, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
- Coordinate full-cycle recruiting activities, including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, onboarding, and new hire orientation.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule while partnering with Finance to ensure proper review and reporting.
- Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, qualifying life events, leave administration, and employee inquiries.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, company policies, and internal procedures.
- Maintain organized, audit-ready personnel files and HR documentation.
- Coordinate employee engagement, recognition, communication, and retention initiatives.
- Assist with performance management processes, training coordination, policy rollouts, and required compliance training.
- Manage attendance reporting, documentation, and related workforce administration activities.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics while identifying opportunities to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Partner with operations to support onboarding requirements and reinforce a strong workplace safety culture.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of progressive Human Resources experience in a broad HR Generalist or HR Operations role.
- Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits, including retirement plans such as 401(k).
- Strong understanding of employee relations, employment law, HR policies, and compliance.
- Experience working with Paycor or another HRIS/payroll platform.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in handling sensitive employee matters.
Preferred Qualifications
- Human Resources experience within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or similarly fast-paced operational environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification is a plus.
