Job summary

Hotel Clark is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to administer day-to-day HR operations at the property, partnering with leadership and corporate HR teams to ensure compliant, efficient HR practices. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll coordination, and HR policy communication.

Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR experience in hospitality or property-level operations is preferred. Travel may be required for training and audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
  • Relevant work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • Solid working knowledge of HR practices, employment law, wage & hour requirements, leave administration, and compliance recordkeeping.
  • PHR/SHRM-CP or similar HR certification a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer day-to-day HR operations for the property, ensuring policies and team member practices are applied consistently and accurately.
  • Advise and partner with General Manager and department leaders on staffing, documentation, policies, and HR needs.
  • Drive timely communication, follow-up, and recordkeeping to maintain a respectful, service-focused workplace.
  • Lead HR initiatives, policy rollouts, audits, reporting, and other projects from planning through follow-up.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting including job postings, interviewing, and candidate communication.
  • Oversee onboarding and orientation to ensure a compliant start to employment.
  • Support training, development tracking, and internal growth at the property.
  • Handle employee relations, performance management, and compliance documentation.

Job Overview:As the Human Resources Generalist, you will administer day-to-day human resources activities at the assigned property, serving as a key on-property HR resource for team members and leaders. This role is responsible for managing core HR processes, maintaining accurate documentation, driving compliance activities, and ensuring consistent execution of HR policies, procedures, and team member practices.You will work closely with the Director of Human Resources, General Manager, department leaders, and corporate support teams to manage recruiting and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, policy communication, and day-to-day HR operations. Success in this role is measured by your ability to work independently, maintain accurate records, exercise sound judgment, respond promptly to operational needs, and serve as a trusted resource to leaders and team members.Job Responsibilities:HR Administration and Property SupportAdminister day-to-day HR operations for the assigned property, ensuring policies, procedures, and team member practices are applied consistently and accurately.Advise and partner with the General Manager and department leaders on staffing activity, employee documentation, policy questions, workflow updates, and day-to-day HR needs.Drive timely communication, follow-up, and recordkeeping to maintain a respectful, service-focused, and compliant workplace culture.Lead and support HR initiatives, policy rollouts, audits, reporting, and other operational projects from planning through follow-up.Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, and DevelopmentManage full-cycle recruiting including job postings, interview scheduling, candidate communication, and hiring for property roles.Lead onboarding and orientation to ensure new team members receive a timely, welcoming, and compliant start to employment.Facilitate training, development tracking, and follow-up activities that strengthen retention and internal growth at the property.Partner with leaders on interview coordination, staffing updates, candidate tracking, and related recruiting activities.Employee Relations, Performance Management, and ComplianceHandle employee relations matters by conducting initial inquiries, preparing documentation, coordinating meetings, maintaining files, and escalating issues as appropriate.Administer performance management processes, including coaching support, document preparation, tracking deadlines, maintaining records, and follow-up on action items.Ensure compliance by maintaining required records, postings, files, and documentation related to employment laws, wage and hour requirements, workplace safety, company policies, and brand standards.Maintain accurate HR records, personnel files, reporting, and compliance documentation while safeguarding confidentiality and reducing organizational risk.Partner with payroll, benefits, operations, and corporate HR teams to ensure accurate processing and timely resolution of HR matters.Compensation, Benefits, and HR OperationsAdminister compensation changes, benefits administration, open enrollment, HR systems updates, leave tracking, and team member communications.Manage payroll and operational coordination, tracking position changes, benefit deductions, labor-related information, and HR-related documentation.Analyze and report HR metrics such as turnover, vacancies, retention, leave activity, and compliance items to inform decisions and follow-up.Maintain and improve HR forms, checklists, workflows, and tracking tools to support efficient, accurate, and consistent HR operations at the property.Service, Engagement, and Property SupportServe as a day-to-day HR resource to leaders and team members across departments while maintaining a professional and service-oriented approach.Lead team member engagement efforts, recognition activities, policy communication, and organizational follow-up that strengthen morale, communication, and retention.Participate in meetings, trainings, and operational initiatives, providing HR guidance, documentation, and follow-up.Travel as needed for training, onboarding support, audits, or assistance with operational initiatives.Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. Relevant work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.Experience: Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive human resources, recruiting, payroll, benefits, or related experience required. Hospitality, hotel, or property-level operational experience preferred.Travel required: Ability to travel as business needs require for training, onboarding support, audits, or assistance with operational initiatives.Skills and Abilities:Solid working knowledge of HR practices, employment law, wage and hour requirements, leave administration, and compliance recordkeeping; PHR, SHRM-CP, or similar HR certification a plus.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple HR processes and priorities independently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced hospitality environment.Strong communication, interpersonal, organization, and problem-solving skills with the ability to advise and work effectively with leaders and team members at all levels.Experience with HRIS, applicant tracking, payroll, benefits, and Microsoft Office applications; Paycom experience preferred.Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.Strong organizational and administrative skills with the ability to maintain detailed records, meet deadlines, and support multiple priorities in a dynamic property environment.Compensation Disclosure: The posted pay range reflects the actual compensation for this position and is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws.
