Job summary

  • One to two years of direct human resources generalist or recruiting experience required
  • Two to five years preferred
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations including FMLA, ADA, wage and hour
  • Experience working with HRIS systems
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment including headcount, requisitions, posting, resume review, screening, interviews
  • Prepare offers, collect acceptances, coordinate background checks and screenings
  • Conduct new-hire orientation and onboarding materials
  • Ensure accurate HRIS data entry and file maintenance
  • Support onboarding/offboarding and employee conversions
  • Collaborate with HR staff, staffing partners, and hiring managers on policy and staffing
  • Provide updates on open positions, recruiting strategies, and progress
  • Assist with benefits renewals and open enrollment
  • Administer leave requests (FMLA, ADA) and return-to-work clearances
  • Support performance reviews and compensation adjustments

Job description

Human Resources Generalist (Recruiting) Job Summary The Human Resources Generalist supports daily HR operations with a strong focus on full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits and leave administration, compliance, employee relations, and performance management. This hands-on role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including confirming headcount, coordinating requisitions, posting positions, reviewing resumes, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and maintaining applicant tracking documentation.
  • Prepare offer letters, collect acceptances, and coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks and drug screenings.
  • Conduct new-hire orientation and prepare onboarding materials.
  • Ensure new-hire documentation is complete and employees are accurately entered into the HRIS.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding documentation and support temporary-to-permanent employee conversions.
  • Partner with HR staff, staffing partners, and hiring managers regarding candidate selection, hiring policies, and staffing needs.
  • Provide regular updates on open positions, recruiting strategies, and hiring progress.
  • Maintain HRIS records related to personnel, benefits, compensation, and employment status changes.
  • Maintain employee files, generate reports, and assist with HR audits and compliance initiatives.
  • Support benefits renewals and open enrollment.
  • Administer and track FMLA, ADA, and other leave requests, including required documentation and return-to-work clearances.
  • Support annual performance reviews and compensation adjustments.
  • Provide employees and supervisors with guidance regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace concerns.
  • Investigate and assist with resolving employee issues and conflicts.
  • Conduct periodic Form I-9 audits.
  • Support job fairs and other recruiting activities.
  • Process payroll as a backup when the Senior HR Analyst is unavailable.
  • Support additional HR projects, meetings, and initiatives as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor s degree preferred
  • One to two years of direct human resources generalist or recruiting experience required
  • Two to five years preferred
  • Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and wage and hour compliance
  • Experience working with HRIS systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and OneNote
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred but not required
