Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking an HR Generalist for the Fort Wayne, IN area. This on-site, in-person role is Mon-Fri and involves active day-to-day HR operations and hands-on support for the business.

You will serve as a trusted HR resource for employees, supervisors, and plant leadership, handling employee relations, investigations, and performance management while assisting with onboarding and engagement initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience handling employee relations, corrective actions, and workplace investigations.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, unemployment claims, and related regulations.
• Experience using HRIS systems.

Our client, a global manufacturer, is seeking an HR Generalist in the Fort Wayne, IN area. Ideally, we are looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day operations of Human Resources and is willing to roll up their sleeves to support the business. This is an on-site, in-person position; Mon-Fri.

Key responsibilities include:

• Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees, supervisors, and plant leadership.
• Support employee relations matters, including investigations, counseling, performance management, and corrective action processes.
• Support full-cycle recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried positions.
• Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities for new hires.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.

This position comes with the following compensation & benefits:

• Pay up to $85,000 annually (based experience level)
• Quarterly gainsharing program with the opportunity to earn up to 5% of quarterly earnings

Required qualifications:
