Snap-tite Hose is looking for an experienced and highly motivated HR Generalist to join our team and serve as a key member of the Human Resources function. This is not a traditional entry-level HR Generalist position. We are looking for someone with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to step into a fast-paced manufacturing environment, work independently, and serve as a trusted resource for employees, supervisors, and leadership.

This position will work closely with the HR Manager across all areas of Human Resources and will play an important role in keeping day-to-day HR operations running effectively. The ideal candidate will be someone who can take ownership of responsibilities, recognize issues before they become problems, provide sound guidance, and know when to escape matters appropriately.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have several years of progressive HR experience and be comfortable working across multiple areas of Human Resources. This person should be able to work independently, prioritize competing demands, and confidently handle sensitive employee matters while maintaining professionalism and discretion.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has demonstrated experience working in a generalist HR role.
  • Has strong employee relations and problem-solving skills.
  • Is comfortable working directly with supervisors, managers, and employees at all levels.
  • Has a solid understanding of employment practices, HR policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Can exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
  • Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Is comfortable working with HRIS and other HR technology.
  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Is proactive and willing to take ownership rather than waiting to be directed. Can work effectively in a manufacturing environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Is willing to learn, ask questions, and continuously develop their HR knowledge.
Qualifications
Required
  • 3-5+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or similar role.
  • Strong working knowledge of core HR practices, employee relations, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, and HR administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and handle sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build credibility and effective working relationships with employees and managers at all levels.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and other HR-related technology.
Preferred
  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced or multi-department environment.
  • Experience supporting employee relations investigations and performance management.
  • Experience interpreting and applying employment policies and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience improving HR processes or implementing HR initiatives.
What Success Looks Like

Success in this position means becoming a trusted extension of the HR Manager and a reliable HR resource for the organization. The successful candidate will:

  • Work independently while knowing when to involve the HR Manager.
  • Proactively identify employee and organizational issues rather than simply responding to them.
  • Bring solutions and recommendations to the HR Manager.
  • Demonstrate maturity and sound judgment when handling sensitive situations.
  • Build strong relationships with employees and managers while maintaining appropriate HR boundaries.
  • Take ownership of responsibilities and follow through without requiring constant direction.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, professionalism, and responsiveness.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve HR processes and the employee experience.

If you're someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and being part of a team, we'd love to hear from you! This is a great opportunity to grow your HR experience, work closely with our HR Manager, and make a positive impact on the employee experience. We're looking for someone who brings a thoughtful approach, a willingness to learn, and a little personality to the role.
