Job summary

Derick Dermatology PLLC in Elgin, IL is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll and benefits, and ensure policy compliance. You will partner with managers to address HR needs and maintain a positive employee experience.

Responsibilities include recruiting, conducting new hire orientations, handling leaves and leaves, processing verifications and background checks, and supporting terminations. A Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years HR experience are required.

• 1-2 year’s Human Resources experience
• Knowledge of employment and labor laws
• Excellent communication and people skills

Responsibilities

• Recruits, interviews, and facilitates hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
• Conducts new hire orientation and ensures a smooth onboarding process.
• Provides support to employees and managers in various HR-related topics such as leaves, benefits, and compensation.
• Serves as a liaison between management and employees.
• Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Processes employment verifications, and background and reference checks.
• Conducts exit interviews and process terminations, leave of absences, etc.
• Assists with payroll processing.
• Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Position Purpose
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, the HR Generalist builds strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.
