Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced HR professional to support daily HR functions at our Corpus Christi office. The role covers recruitment, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, compliance, and employee relations.

You will collaborate with managers, conduct background checks, support onboarding, and administer programs across performance, training, and safety. A strong HRIS background is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in human resources, business administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of human resource experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with ADP Workforce Now HRIS and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the management team with daily HR department functions, including recruitment, benefits management, staff organization, payroll processing, leave management, and policy enforcement.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with training, continuing education, policies, and work assessments.
  • Manage time and attendance matters, including weekly timecards, PTO requests, and remote timesheets.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate hiring qualified applicants in collaboration with departmental managers.
  • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new-hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Administer HR programs covering onboarding, compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, investigations, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, morale, occupational health and safety, internships, and training and development.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries and refer complex or sensitive matters to appropriate management staff.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Monitor HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and HR technologies.
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Maintain knowledge of ADP HRIS software and updates
  • Assist with firm programs including United Way campaign, employee performance evaluations, open enrollment benefits, and summer internship program
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
  • At least 5 years of human resource experience preferred

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems (ADP Workforce Now)
  • Ability to work outside standard business hours as needed
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to commute to and work out of the Corpus Christi office
  • Ability to travel periodically to other firm offices and locations as required
