Job summary

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA is seeking a full-time HR Supervisor to oversee daily HR operations, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, and performance management. You will supervise HR systems, records, and communications, analyze staffing data, and support international employee programs while ensuring consistent application of policies and labor laws.

The role reports to the HR Manager and requires strong leadership, confidentiality, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• At least two years of Human Resources management experience.
• Proficiency in California labor laws preferred.
• Experience developing and presenting trainings to multi-level groups.
• Must maintain confidentiality of HR documents and proprietary information.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Human Resources daily operations including employee investigations and concerns.
• Track and analyze employment data to coordinate targeted recruitment efforts.
• Ensure hiring, discipline, rewards/recognition, and termination comply with park, state, and federal laws.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews with staff.
• Maintain Associate Life Portal with housing, dining, events, and resources.
• Maintain knowledge of HR systems: UKG pro, iCIMS, Dayforce, Equifax, Optim8.
• Oversee paper and electronic filing systems; ensure retention and destruction.
• Communicate park policies, guidelines, and best practices effectively.
• Recruit qualified candidates by screening and interviewing in a timely manner.
• Conduct orientations for international employees on park policies and housing.
• Assess staffing needs and coordinate applicant traffic via ATS.
• Coordinate with international visa sponsors for placement and J-1 contracts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Supervise Human Resources daily operations to include assisting with employee investigations, employee concerns, and other issues requiring Human Resources intervention.
• Track and analyze statistical employment data to coordinate targeted recruitment efforts.
• Ensure hiring, discipline, rewards/recognition, and termination decisions are consistent with park, state, and federal guidelines and laws.
• Perform periodic performance reviews with staff.
• Maintain Associate Life Portal with up-to-date housing, dining and retail, events, and resources.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years of Human Resources management experience is required. Proficiency in California labor laws is preferred.
• Experience developing and presenting trainings to multi-level groups.
• Must be able to maintain the confidentiality of Human Resources documents and other proprietary information.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to multitask.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Will be required to work various shifts as project and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Computer literacy with proficiency in all Microsoft applications.

Must have the ability to stand, walk, crouch, bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to forty pounds
