Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead the HR strategy for a large resort property in Northwest Florida, overseeing a team of about 500 employees.

The role focuses on being a strategic partner to executive leadership while remaining highly visible with staff, driving engagement and a strong positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience in hospitality, hotel, resort, or other employee-intensive service environment.
• On-property HR leadership experience required; must be highly visible and hands-on in daily operations.
• Experience supporting large employee populations (approximately 500+ employees preferred).
• Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compliance, FMLA, workers' compensation, and HR best practices.
• Proven success building teams, mentoring staff, and driving employee engagement/culture initiatives.
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and balancing people-first leadership with business/financial objectives.

• Provide coaching and guidance regarding employee relations, FMLA, workers' compensation, and legal/compliance matters.
• Oversee HR systems, payroll/benefits administration, and workforce planning.
• Support strategic staffing initiatives for seasonal workforce planning and operational demands.
