About the role
Position Purpose
The Human Resource Director will plan, lead, direct, develop, and coordinate the policies, activities, and staff of the Human Resource (HR) department, ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the Firm’s mission and talent strategy.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the Firm’s overall goals.
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, inform decision-making, and measure the effectiveness of HR programs.
- Collaborate with department leadership to align HR initiatives with the Firm’s objectives.
- Create and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Manage onboarding, performance management, employee development, and payroll.
- Manage employee relations, address grievances, and ensure a positive work environment.
- Monitor and ensure the Firm’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review and modify policies accordingly.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; communicate these changes to leadership.
- Hire and train new HR team members and oversee the daily workflow of the HR department.
- Facilitate professional development and training activities for HR team members.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive human resource management experience, with at least 3 years at a senior management level leading others.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Excellent people leadership, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
- Thorough knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
