Job summary

Renwick-Nursing-and-Rehab seeks a dynamic Human Resources Director to lead and administer the HR function at our Extended Care facility. You will ensure outstanding employee relations, compliance, and financial profitability while delivering a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff.

The role requires an associate degree in HR (bachelor’s preferred), 2–3 years of HR experience in healthcare, and strong knowledge of employment laws.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for advancement.
• 2-3 years of general HR experience in healthcare or long-term care.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience with union agreements and confidentiality.
• Energetic, professional, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new hires and lead orientation programs.
• Foster effective employee relations within the facility.
• Maintain confidential employee files and HR records.
• Administer and interpret HR policies and procedures.
• Track leave of absence and ensure compliance.
• Assist in administration of employee benefits.
• Create and coordinate employee recognition programs and events.
• Oversee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain compliance records.
• Monitor unemployment claims and workers’ compensation cases.
• Manage hires, terminations, promotions, payroll edits, and salary increases.

Human Resources Director Requirements:
