Extended Care LLC seeks a dedicated Human Resources Director to lead and administer the HR function at our Illinois facility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in HR Management or related field required (Bachelor’s preferred).
• 2-3 years of general HR experience; long-term care or healthcare industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
• Experience working with union agreements.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Energetic and professional with exceptional interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new hires and lead orientation programs.
• Facilitate effective employee relations within the facility.
• Manage and maintain confidential employee files.
• Administer and interpret Human Resources policies and procedures.
• Track employee leave of absence and ensure compliance.
• Assist in the administration of employee benefits.
• Create and coordinate employee recognition programs and events.
• Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
• Prepare and maintain HR reports and compliance records.
• Monitor and respond to unemployment claims and workers’ compensation cases.
• Manage new hires, terminations, promotions, payroll edits, and salary increases.
