Job summary

The Laurels Of Sandy Creek in Michigan is seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to provide facility-level HR support for all employees and to engage with staff throughout their careers.

Responsibilities include managing applicant flow, onboarding, retention planning, and benefits enrollment, while ensuring compliance and proper documentation across the employment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Minimum Associates Degree with 5+ years of experience in an HR Coordinator or Manager capacity.
• Minimum Bachelor in HR or BSA with concentration in Human Resources.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Human Resources, preferably in the long term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor applicant flow daily in the applicant tracking system and/or work with recruiter assigned to the position(s).
• Update applicants daily in the applicant in tracking system.
• Assist Department Managers and Administrator with employee retention planning.
• Complete employment process for new hires (I-9, tax forms, licenses, references, background checks, fingerprinting scheduling, drug screening).
• Schedule and assist with new hire orientation.
• Ensure Employee Problem Resolution Process is being followed and report results.
• Complete injury reports.
• Complete benefit enrollment and follow ups.
• Maintain up-to-date files for employment documents.
