Job description

This job is located on-site in Scottdale, PA (Westmoreland County).

I. Job Overview And General Purpose

The Human Resources Coordinator assists the Human Resources Department with daily administrative duties following all applicable company policies and procedures and performs related work as assigned.

II. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Duties

Provides effective support to all operations by:

  • Assisting in human resources programs and procedures for all employees.
  • Maintaining driver file compliance with federal regulations and company policies; issuing MVR Scorecards and Permission Reports; ensuring correct billing from TPA.
  • Supporting onboarding processes: E-Verify, I-9s, background checks, etc.
  • Serving as backup for HR Coordinator (Drug and Alcohol Testing) and HR Generalists.
  • Processing safety glasses reimbursements and employment verifications.
  • Using HRIS, driver file software, and ATS/Onboarding software for recordkeeping.
  • Ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.
  • Managing HR records, correspondence, legal documents, and personnel files in COINS ERP.
  • Interfacing with managers and employees on HR issues.

Other Duties

  • Administer programs and procedures aligning workforce with company goals.
  • Participate in meetings and seminars.
  • Perform administrative duties and projects as assigned.

III. Qualifications

High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's preferred. 1-3 years of office support in HR or related field; construction industry experience preferred.

Skills include reading, interpreting documents, effective communication, basic math, problem-solving, confidentiality, planning, and organization. Proficiency in HRIS, Microsoft Office, ERPs, and internet browsers is required.

Other Skills

Presentation, leadership, and analytical skills are essential.

IV. Physical Demands

  • Light lifting (<25 lbs.), hearing (aid permitted), sitting, kneeling, bending, seeing.

V. Work Environment

Primarily office setting, no unusual environmental factors. Accommodations available for disabilities.
